Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines is a video game exclusively for the PlayStation Portable and is part of the Assassin's Creed franchise, taking place in between the events of Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal in conjunction with Griptonite Games and published by Ubisoft, it was released on November 17, 2009 in North America and November 20, 2009 in Europe.

Bloodlines is an action-adventure game, in which the player primarily assumes the role of Altair as experienced by Desmond similar to that of the original Assassin's Creed. Unlike the previous Assassin's Creed spin-off, Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles, for the Nintendo DS, the game features a gameplay system similar to the original game where players are able to traverse an open world with nonlinear gameplay allowing players to free-roam the gameworld at will.

The character can also keep out of sight of enemies and blend into the environment as well as enter hiding spots such as haystacks similar to the first game. Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines takes place 78 months after the events of the original Assassin's Creed, in Autumn 1191.

The game is largely set on the island of Cyprus in two of its cities, Limassol and Kyrenia where players again take on the role of Altaïr, the original ancestral character in Assassin's Creed. Altaïr has travelled to Cyprus from the Holy Land (the setting of the first game) in order to find out why the Templars are gathering there, and to assassinate the last of them.

Bloodlines includes more face time with Maria, the female Templar that was spared by Altaïr in Assassin's Creed. The antagonist is Arnand Bouchart, who has become the Grand Master of the Templar Order.

He seeks the "Apple of Eden", which allows the user to control the minds of people and make them carry out the bidding of whoever is using the Apple. Altaïr has to stop him and other notable Templar leaders such as Moloch "The Bull", Shalim and Shahar (Moloch's sons), Frederick "The Red", and the Dark Oracle, from using the Templar Archive located on the island to further their goals.
